Extension and rehabilitation of water and wastewater infrastructure in Suceava County
As member state of the European Union since January 1, 2007, Romania can benefit from structural instruments (Structural and Cohesion Funds) as financial tools to achieve the objectives of the economic and social cohesion policy.
Specifically, under the Sectoral Operational Programme Environment (SOP ENV), Romania’s budget allocated for environmental priority investments in 2007-2013 is approximately EUR 5.6 billion, of which EUR 4.5 billion represents the Community assistance, and EUR 1.1 billion the national co-funding contribution.
The financing contract for the Project „Extension and rehabilitation of water and wastewater infrastructure in Suceava County” was concluded between the Minister of Environment and Forests, László Borbély, and the General Manager of S.C. ACET S.A. Suceava, Ştefan Groza, on July 5, 2011, at the Ministry of Environment and Forests headquarters.
Project co-financed from the Cohesion Fund, under the Sectoral Operational Programme Environment 2007-2013
